Early Retirement

An original play about love, money, pensions, and everything inherited.

Dana, a professional dancer, comes to Israel from Los Angeles to clear out her father's belongings from the sheltered housing where he lived until his death. While her husband is busy saving his start-up company, Dana finds herself dealing alone with the bureaucracy of death.
Instead of evacuating the father's apartment, she decides to fortify herself and settle there. She forges a relationship with one of the women in the house and gets wrapped up in past memories and family secrets.

When the mourning period ends, her husband asks her to return to their shared apartment, to their demanding careers and married life. Dana, for her part, is in a different place and it seems that it will not be possible to return to the pattern of her previous life.
